Overall Interview process in ITC

The initial process is somewhat similar to other companies like the company shortlists you based on specific criteria. In ITC, there is a GD round, and then there is a personal interview round. To prepare for CA job interview, you must give mock interviews, gain mentorship or read such blogs to expand your knowledge.

GD Round for CAs

Here, there isn't any current affairs question; instead, they give you a case study. For example:

John is a person. He gets ill, and he has to get hospitalized, and he doesn't have insurance. Because of some issues, he is not able to survive. Under this, there are a lot of situational facts given. Now, you have to decide who is to blame here? Is it John himself, or the hospital or the manager, etc.? 

You have to analyze the situation and discuss it as a team. It's not meant for debate, and they test you based on your thought process. They want to see how you can work as a team, hold a meeting, communicate in a meeting, etc.

Interview Process for CAs

All you have to do is stay calm and smile through the interview positively. You have to show the kindest part of your personality. TIPS

GD is a more important round as if you don't prepare for GD, there is no point in preparing for the personal interview round. You should have practice in many GDs as it is a place you should be comfortable with. Once you have that, you must also give mock interviews for preparation—Financial, Taxation, and IND AS are also crucial areas to prepare for.

Location Preferences for CAs

You can either choose growth or location. In the internal audit, your posting is Kolkata, and you are sent to various locations. You keep shifting back and forth. If you are transferred, you have to go where the factory is. Initially, they generally don't give you that benefit of choosing both growth and location.

Roles Offered By ITC

There are three kinds of positions here in two divisions:

• Internal Audit Role - It is a Corporate Internal Audit, a separate department. Around 50% of the people who are giving the interview are put directly in that. Under this, there are two divisions:

• Divisional Audit Role - 25% of students are put in here.

• Operational Role - 25% of students are put here.

• Trade Marketing and Distribution Division
• Personal Care Division.

What should you do if you're not shortlisted and want to apply off-campus?

For this, you have to fill in a form, and the page is a page on the ITC portal itself. After following a process, you have to follow the process through email, and it'll be done.
