Versant tests are fully automated tests of spoken language to use advanced speech processing technology (including speech recognition) to assess the spoken language skills of non-native speakers.
The tests are designed to measure an individual’s abilities in all or some of the four skills; speaking, writing, listening, or reading. They vary in length from between 17 to 50 minutes, and the results are usually available immediately afterward.
Companies like Deloitte USI, PWC (SDC), and companies with a clientele consisting of foreign entities usually take the test to check the candidate’s English communication skills.
